The Hughenden is a charming heritage hotel, main building dates back to 1878, where no two rooms are exactly alike. Each room has its own individual character, layout and features.

The Manor Suite
Deluxe King
All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, television,
air-conditioning (except budget cosy rooms), private ensuite bathroom and mini bar fridge.
A breakfast voucher of $10 value per person per night is included. This can be used at our
in house cafe towards any purchase from 7am to 11am.
Wi-Fi is complimentary and unlimited.
Bright and spacious, this elegant suite was originally the main bedroom of the historic house. At approximately 44m², it features a generous sitting area, a private balcony overlooking Queen Street, a desk and an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The room can be configured with either one King bed or two Single beds. A rollaway bed can also be added to accommodate a third guest (additional fees apply).
Our spacious Deluxe Rooms are approximately 26m² and feature high ceilings, air conditioning and a private ensuite bathroom. Each room can be configured with either one King bed or two Single beds. As each of our three Deluxe Rooms is individually designed, features vary between rooms: one includes a sofa bed, one features a traditional roll-top bath with shower, and another offers a large walk-in shower.
The Family
Queen Suite
The Gatehouse is our spacious family room, approximately 41m², offering plenty of space for a comfortable family stay. It features a separate lounge area, dining table, private ensuite bathroom and a small kitchenette with a microwave and sink.
There are two separate bedrooms: the main bedroom features a King bed, while the second bedroom has two shorter Single beds, best suited to children.
Our Queen Suites offer a spacious and comfortable stay with a little more room to relax. Each suite features a Queen bed, air conditioning and a ensuite bathroom.
We have two available each with its own individual layout and character. One features a separate bedroom and living area with balcony, while the other offers an open-plan layout with a large bathroom with a separate roll-top bath and shower. Each suite is unique and features may vary.
Standard King/Twin
Standard Queen
Our Standard King/Twin Rooms are larger than our Standard Rooms at approximately 24m². Each room features air conditioning, a ensuite bathroom and can be configured with either one King bed or two Single beds. Most of these rooms are conveniently located on the ground floor, with one located on the first floor.
Our Standard Queen Room is our most popular room type, offering a comfortable stay for up to two guests. Approximately 20m², each room features a Queen bed, air conditioning and a ensuite bathroom. Most Standard Queen Rooms are located on the first floor, with one conveniently located on the ground floor.
Cosy Room
Budget Cosy
As the name suggests, our Budget Cosy Room is our smallest and most affordable room type, ideal for solo business traveller or budget-conscious guest.
Approximately 10m², this room accommodates a maximum of one guest and features a Double bed, ensuite bathroom and ceiling fan. Please note that the The room category does not have air conditioning.
As the name suggests, our Cosy Rooms with a Double bed offer a comfortable and affordable option, ideal for business travellers, solo guests or budget-conscious travellers. Approximately 15m², each room accommodates up to two guests and features air conditioning and a private ensuite bathroom. Most Cosy Rooms are located on the first floor, with one conveniently located on the ground floor.
Pet Friendly Room with Courtyard
Our Pet-Friendly Rooms with a private courtyard offer a comfortable stay for up to two guests travelling with their pet. Each room features a Queen bed, air conditioning, a ensuite bathroom and its own courtyard, providing some additional outdoor space for you and your pet. Please note that pet bedding and food are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them.

Each room features a Queen bed, air conditioning and a private ensuite bathroom. These are standard hotel rooms with hard flooring rather than carpet, making them suitable for guests travelling with pets.
Please note that pet bedding and food are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them.
